Throughout my extensive professional journey, I've dedicated over 37 years to consulting and leadership roles. This span of experience encompasses executive management, strategic planning, financial analysis, accreditation, executive mentoring, fund development, grant writing, community partnership development, government relations, institutional governance, and registered apprenticeship.
I've provided guidance to numerous institutions, businesses, organizations, and individuals in education, non-profit, and business domains. A focal point of my career has been mentoring those facing disadvantages and driving workforce development through community initiatives.
My educational background features degrees in Higher Education Leadership, Finance, Management, and Accounting. With extensive experience as an entrepreneur, business executive, and investor partner, I bring expertise in expanding revenues, products, services, capacity, and profitability.

In 2008, I embarked on a journey as an education consultant and interim director, specializing in post-secondary education leadership, particularly within career and technical education. From 2017 to 2021, I proudly served as a commissioner for the Council on Occupational Education, a U.S. Department of Education-accredited agency committed to advancing career and technical education.

With an extensive 32-year journey in education, I am both a National Board Certified Teacher and a dedicated Literacy Consultant. My career has encompassed diverse roles – from Title teacher to classroom instructor, Instructional Coach, and Curriculum Coordinator. I've had the privilege of working across Minnesota's urban, suburban, rural, and smaller community school districts.

My primary focus is on empowering fellow educators to provide quality literacy education for all children. I bring a strong commitment to effective reading instruction, specializing also in the Science of Reading, multilingual learners, student engagement, family involvement, and curriculum implementation.
